Covid-19 Measures

Under Tier 2 guidelines swimming clubs for over 18’s can continue. However they have been very specific about the need for distancing to be adhered to both before, during and after the session.

All swimmers are to wear facial covering on entering and exiting the building. On entry to the building all swimmers will have their temperature taken.

Single lane sessions are still permitted under the new rules however they have clearly stated that distancing in the lanes must be adhered to at all times, this includes when swimmers are gathered at the end of the lanes. All swimmers in the individual lanes are to respect the distancing regulations, especially if they are not part of the same household/support bubble.

Please do not come to a session if you are feeling unwell.

AGM 2020

At the club’s recent AGM, long standing Committee member and Chairman, Paul Mason, decided to stand down, after playing an instrumental part in all of the clubs activities over the last 25 years.  Steered by Paul’s vision, the club has continued to operate successfully, always with a heavy focus on the club’s membership.

Alan Rose was voted in as Chairman and said “on behalf of the committee, I would like to thank Paul for all of his hard work and leadership over these years and as the new incoming Chairman I am extremely grateful for his continued support and the example he has set for me to follow.  Paul will continue to swim with the club, so you will have plenty of opportunities to pass on any thanks you may have personally. “

The committee decided to forfeit membership fees for December and payment can commence again in the new year.
